Every one knows about pollution. You and me despise global warming. But no one is ready to take the blame. Whenever the topic of pollution is aroused, you blame the government for doing nothing, you blame the neighbour for creating garbage, we blame the buses and cars for emitting toxic fumes and you blame the industries for realising noxious gases.
But remember, you and I are the most vital link in this chain. If you want to break this chain, 1st step begins at home. And what better way to do this than to teach children environment friendliness from the early childhood.
Simple steps that parents take at home can go a long way in improving the environment:
I am sure the world is going to be a better place to live. You and me will make it.

Simple steps that parents take at home can go a long way in improving the environment:
- Teach children to turn off light when not in use. (Saves electricity, prevents heat produced by it)
- Conserve paper: This can be done by simple stratergies
- Do not waste paper.
- Use waste paper for rough work
- Tear and keep every blank page of old notebooks and bind them
- Try not to throw paper into dustbin, but to segregate it seperately and give it to the local 'raddiwala'
- Teach kids not to waste water: Fresh water is a scarcity and with growing population and global warming, it will become a limiting resource.
- Use dustbin: Teach from an early age to use dustbins, not just at home but at public places. Make the children understand that even the public places belongs to us and its cleanliness is our responsibility. Even when travelling by car or bus, dont just throw the litter out of the window. Carry it till you can dispose it well.
- Most importantly, be a role model and you do it yourself also.
- Reward and praise the child for his good behaviour towards the environment.
I am sure the world is going to be a better place to live. You and me will make it.
Mantra: I am Environment Friendly. My child is Environment Friendly.
